A heroic midwife, Rosemary Dela Favor who works at a clinic in Motokrodua, a town in Sekyere East District of the Ashanti Region is alleged to be facing severe backlash from her superiors after pictures of her helping a pregnant woman went viral on social media.
Yesterday, April 16, pictures of the midwife, together with few other persons, went viral. In these pictures, the midwife, with the help of few people were transporting by foot a heavily pregnant woman. The woman was carried on what appears to be a wooden door.
She was hailed by many for her love for the nursing job although the facility she works at lacks the necessary resources.
However, according to popular social commentator Raymond Ablorh, the admirable and caring midwife is been vilified for her kind gesture by those who are her superiors.
According to Mr. Ablorh, Rosemary has been directed to report at the Regional Health Directorate with her certificates and CV for questioning.
“I am reliably informed that the superiors of Rosemary Dela Gavor, that hardworking midwife in Ashanti Region are furious that she’s disgraced them. And, she’s been requested to go to Kumasi with her CV and certificates for questioning on Monday or Tuesday,” Mr. Ablorh wrote in a facebook post sighted by GhanaVanguard.com.
