Member of the National Communications team of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and a failed presidential aspirant, Stephen Atubiga has said that the Bono Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe aka Abronye DC can ask relevant questions than Akoto Ampaw.
Atubiga, an ex-convict made this statement after Lawyer Akoto Ampaw who is the lead counsel for President Akufo Addo’s legal team in the ongoing 2020 election petition cross examined the 3rd witness of the petitIoner, Mr. Robert Rojo Mettle yesterday, February 08.
For Stephen Atubiga, the questions Lawyer Akoto Ampaw was asking Mr. Rojo who was a former Deputy Health Minister were irrelevant to the election petition case brought before the Supreme Court.
“Infact, Abro3-ye3 DC could have asked Rojo relevant questions than this lazy confused Ampaw Akoto. Rojo is too hot for him,” he wrote on facebook,” he wrote in a social media post sighted by GhanaVanguard.com.
Meanwhile, in June 2013, Stephen Atubiga was given a three-day jail term after he was found guilty of contempt of court days after he was on an Accra based radio station saying the NDC, which was then in power; will not hand over power to the NPP, which was then in opposition even if the Supreme Court rule in the favor of the latter.
