The presidential advisor on heath and former Director General of Ghana Health Service, Dr. Anthony Nsiah-Asare has been tipped to deputize Mr. Kwaku Agyemang Manu at the Ministry of Health in the second term administration of president Akufo-Addo.
This has been contained in a list which is being circulated by top social media communicators of the ruling New Patriotic Party on various social media platforms since Wednesday, January 27.
Dr. Nsiah has been working with president Akufo Addo at the presidency since November 2019 as his repository of knowledge as long as public health related issues are concerned.
He served the Ghana Health Service as its Director General from March 2017 till he was reassigned to the presidency in November 2019.
If confirmed, the academic and former CEO of Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) will work with a person with accounting background as his boss at the Health Ministry which is currently championing the collective fight against the deadly covid-19 pandemic which has since claimed the life of some 377 persons in the country.
