Tributes across the world have been pouring in for the Anne Rice, the iconic author who passed away on the night of Saturday, December 11, 2021, at the age of 80. She died after suffering from stroke-related complications.

When Anne Rice passed away, the news was let out by her only surviving son who is also an author, Christopher Rice, in a facebook post he made on Sunday morning.

“…my mother, Anne Rice, passed away due to complications resulting from a stroke… . The immensity of our family’s grief cannot be overstated,” part of Christopher Rice’s Sunday morning post announcing his mum’s demise, reads.

The late Anne Rice was best known for her books; Interview With The Vampire, The Vampire Lestat, and The Queen of the Damned, which are all collectively referred to as the ‘Vampire Chronicles‘ books. Meanwhile, in 1994, her ‘Interview With the Vampire’ story became a movie which starred Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt.

A New York Times Bestselling author and historian, John Jackson Miller, in a tribute to the late Anne Marie, recounts the first time he met the iconic author in a convention they both attended in New Orleans.

In a tweet, John Miller wrote; “…. She had the table next to mine at a convention in New Orleans many years ago.”

He added; “she was charming company and I was honored to get the chance to talk with her about her work. Rest In Peace.”

Alice Goldfuss, a Computer Programmer noted that Anne Rice’s book, ‘Interview with the Vampire’ is the book that helped shape her mind in middle school, and also boosted her love for reading.

“Interview with the Vampire blew my middle school mind and threw gasoline on an already-voracious reading habit,” Alice Goldfuss wrote in a tweeter post.

She continued that; “…Vampire Chronicles and Mayfair Witches were sumptuous, heartbreaking, romantic, and queer books that kept me company through my awkward teen years….”

Anne Rice was a strong ally to the LGBTQI community till her sudden demise. MAY HER SOUL REST IN PERFECT PEACE!!!
