IMANI Africa boss and resourceful social commentator, Franklin Cudjoe has made it categorically clear that if not for the well marketing of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Ghana’s northern regions by Vice President-elect, Dr. Bawumia, NPP would have suffered a humiliating defeat in the just ended presidential polls.
NPP, in the just ended presidential and Parliamentary elections, performed very well in the northern regions unlike in previous elections where the party’s performance in the regions was abysmal.
However, according to the President of IMANI Africa, this election year’s fortune of the NPP in the northern regions was achieved through the political marketing strategy that Dr. Bawumia used in regions regions.
In a social media post, Mr. Cudjoe asked; “Isn’t it very clear that had Bawumia not marketed the NPP so well in the Northern regions, the NPP would’ve been humiliated at the polls?”
Mr. Cudjoe further described Dr. Bawumia as a strong choice of the NPP, adding to a tall list of Ghanaians who have praised the Vice President for being a strong pillar in the ruling party.
“Bawumia is a Catholic choice,” he simply wrote.
