A top national communications team member of the oppostion National Democratic Congress (NDC) and failed presidential aspirant, Stephen Atubiga has been suspended from the party after he himself gave a hint about it on social media yesterday night.
“I have been reliably informed of my suspension from the NDC party. The truth shall always set the record straight at the right time,” he said in a short statement on Facebook.
NDC as a party seems to be on a suspension spree.
On March 16, 2021, GhanaVanguard reported of the suspension of the constituency chairman of Daboya/Mankarigu constituency, Mr. Alhaji Yahaya Mohammed Mutalla over anti-party activities which led to the defeat of the NDC parliamentary candidate for the area in the 2020 parliamentary elections.
Also, days ago, MyNewsGh reported the suspension of the chairman of Mion Constituency in the Northern Region, Alhaji Abdulai Zakaria. He was suspended for also causing the defeat of his parliamentary candidate in the 2020 parliamentary election.
Meanwhile, also on the NDC’s suspended executives list is Koku Anyidoho and few others, with Allotey Jacobs being expelled totally from the party just yesterday, March 23, 2021 after having been on suspension for several months.
