The rogue Volta Region Secessionists have bounced back again as they carried out a successful operation yet again in North Tongu, the district where they first perpetrated their terrorist-like attacks.
Sources, including an assemblyman who spoke to GhanaVanguard.com indicated that the secessionists, this time tipped a heap on sand on the busy Aveyime to Sege road, blocking road users from plying that particular portion of the road.
However, the heap of sand has been shoved away from the road after Police got to the scene.
Weeks ago, the secessionists who are calling for the independence of Volta Region to form a new state called “Western Togoland” caused hours of mayhem in Okudzeto Ablakwa’s constituency.
The armed group stormed two separate police stations and cart away several weapons which were later retrieved by the hardworking officers of the Ghana Police Service and the Ghana Armed Forces.
More than 60 persons are however in the custody of authorities with some of them already standing trial.
