Norwich City fans, after watching the Chelsea vs Norwich City game Saturday, are calling for the dismissal of the club’s manager, Daniel Farke.
Daniel Farke who led the team to its current place as a Premier League team after it was relegated in July 2020, was subjected to severe backlash by Norwich City fans on social media following the humiliating defeat the team suffered in the hands of Chelsea FC.
The Chelsea vs Norwich City game saw Chelsea FC trashed the Canaries seven goals to nil, with a hat-trick from 22-years old Mason Mount.
The defeat could not go down well with Norwich Fans as they took to twitter to share their disappointments.
“Thank you Daniel Farke for everything you have done but time to say goodbye, we respect everything you can done for the club but please resign and remain a club legend! #ncfc #FarkeOut,” a twitter user with the handle name John Jayman tweeted.
Another tweeter user, Ayomikum believes Daniel Farke is not managing the team as expected of him, and as a result he should be shown the exit.
“Daniel Farke next. He really should resign. The Norwich is good enough to survive in the Premier league. He’s not managing them well at all,” he wrote.
Another fan however, showered some praises on Daniel Farke; describing him as a decent person and a “good character” and acknowledging his efforts for the team, but was also quick to add his voice to those calling for the sacking of the coach.
“I’ve defended Daniel Farke for so long — he’s done wonderful things for #ncfc & he’s that rare thing in football, someone who exudes decency and good character. But it’s time for a change before this humiliating season becomes irreversible and the worst in our history. #FarkeOut,” Keiron Pim wrote in a tweet GhanaVanguard.com sighted.
Joining calls for Farke’s dismissal is a former journalist and actor of music books, Richard Balls. Richard Balls is of the view that though Farke led Norwich City FC out of relegation, he does not have what it takes to sustain the team in the English Premier League.
Balls further described the 7:0 defeat of Norwich City, with a hat-trick from Chelsea FC’s Mason Mount, in the Chelsea vs Norwich City clash as “too humiliating.”
“Every football manager has a shelf life and Daniel Farke’s has surely come to an end. It’s so clear he does not have what it takes to compete in the Premier League and if the club is ambitious to do that, he has to go. Today was too humiliating to draw any other conclusion #ncfc,” Balls opined.
