Veteran musician cum social activist and governance critique, Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly called A Plus has advised authorities at the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) and GRIDCo to design and publish a timetable for load shedding in the country.

His comment was an addition to numerous calls for the ‘dumsor’ timetable to be published so that users of electricity in the country will be able to plan their activities which require the use of electricity.

In a social media post sighted by, the veteran musician wrote: “Give us time table you say no. Give us light you say no. Light off in some areas, low current in some areas, phases are off in some areas.

ECG and GRIDCo, are we going or coming? Don’t be ashamed to release a dumsor timetable.

This is all Akufo Addo and his NPP can do with the so called men. We are not expecting anything from this government.

Thanks for the effort. Just give us a time table please.”

Ghanaians, especially those in Ashanti and Greater Accra regions have been experiencing unannounced power cuts since some two months ago. This has ruined businesses that most if them run using electricity.

Meanwhile, the sector minister, Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh indicated some time ago that the country is not heading back to the days where unannounced power interruptions were daily daily occurrence.

Many people who saw the minister’s comment as a way of deceiving the public, descended on him. They said he wasn’t truthful to the people he is appointed to serve.
