Residents of Ho, the Volta Regional capital have been thrown into a state of surprise as ice blocks fell like rain in the evening of Monday, June 15.
The falling of the hailstones during yesterday’s rainfall stunned residents as most haven’t seen anything of that sort.
In a video available to GhanaVanguard.com, some residents could be seen moving about in the rain, picking the ice blocks and admiring the nature of it.
A resident, Barrister (not real name) who stays at a hostel close to the Ho Technical University, revealed to GhanaVanguard.com that some people got scared and rushed into their rooms when the ice blocks started hitting the ground.

‘Ice block’ rain (hailstones) is a natural phenomenon that rarely occurs unexpectedly if it is raining.
In April 2020, the phenomenon occurred in Kumasi, Ashanti Region. This, as usual got the residents to admire nature.
