The honorable Member of Parliament for Nhyiaeso Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Mr. Stephen Amoah has revealed how he felt when he saw the casket containing the remains of former president Rawlings being driven away for burial.
According to him, seeing the late president being taken away to be buried under the earth was something that hurt him so much.
“…I was not happy and even now I’m not happy…i was watching when they were driving him to the burial grounds; that was too painful,”
Speaking on GhToday program on GhOne TV yesterday, January 28 which was hosted by Lantam Papanko and monitored by GhanaVanguard.com, the former MASLOC CEO said he was not happy because the late ex leader died strong.
He believes Rawlings should have lived a while longer to the point where he would become very weak just like his successor, Agyekum Kuffour.
“I think he died very young. I was expecting that he grew, may be become very old, week and but the way he was strong but suddenly went is very very sad,” he was exactly quoted as saying.
