Franklin Cudjoe - Founder and President of IMANI Africa

The Chairperson of the Electoral Commission of Ghana, Mrs. Jean Adukwei Mensah has been given a friendly advise and a two-month ultimatum by president and founder of IMANI Africa, Franklin Cudjoe to hold elections for the ‘unrepresented’ people of Santrokofi, Akpafu, Likpe and Lolobi.

According to him, he would have no other options than to give a full backing to a petition which will be meant for the removal of the EC Chair from the commission if she fails to adhere to his counsel to organize the elections for SALL people by March 2021.

The more than 30,000 people of SALL had their voting rights infringed upon by the Electoral Commission when they were excluded from voting in the 2020 parliamentary elections in the Hohoe constituency.

For Mr. Cudjoe, the infringement of the rights of the SALL people was sanctioned by persons in higher authority whose key interest was to see former Energy Minister and Minister of Railways designate, John Peter Amewu emerge victorious.

“The EC should hold elections for SALL by March 2021. Failure to do this, I will support a formal petition to remove the EC,” he wrote on his facebook wall.

Mr. Cudjoe who hails from one of the affected town, Lolobi has been so vocal since the mess was created on the eve of the December 7 general elections which saw president Akufo Addo winning another term.

He often calls out and throw subtle at people who he thinks were part of the human right infringement which was visited on the people of SALL.

  1. Stop deceiving the public that SALL I in Hohoe Constituency. Hohoe is in Volta Region and SALL is in Oti Region. So how could you say that SALL is in Hohoe Constituency ?
Franklin Qudjoe himself is confused. He should go to Lolobi, his homework, to advice Prof. Margaret Kweku to stop the mischief against the MP.
