Member of Parliament for Jomoro Constituency in the Western Region, Hon. Dorcas Afo-Tofey has commiserated with family of the senior officer who allegedly took his own life in his room in HGalf Assini municipality.
Yesterday, January 30, news went viral that the Half Assini Municipal Police Commander, DSP Cyprian McCarthy Zenge shot himself dead whiles in his room leaving a suicide note that indicated that the 57 years old officer was fed up with life.
The Jomoro MP who said she was broken after hearing the sad news of the incident indicated that she knew him very well and that her memories of him will be fade away.
“I am immensely grief-stricken to hear about the sudden demise of Superintendent Cyprian McCarthy Zenge who was found dead at his residence yesterday.
The late Superintendent before his demise was the Half-Assini Municipal Police Commander.
As a Member of Parliament for Jomoro Constituency, my memories of him will never fade,” she said in a facebook post sighted by GhanaVanguard.com.
She further extended her condolences and that of the people of Jomoro Constituency who she represents in parliament to the Western Regional police command and the immediately family of the deceased police officer.
“On behalf of myself and the good people of Jomoro, I express our sincerest condolences to the immediate family and the Police fraternity. May the comfort and mercies of the Almighty God be with them,” she wrote.
