King of the Anlo State, Togbi Sri (III) has condemn completely the recent disturbances the country woke up to on Friday, September 25, 2020 by some members of the secessionist groups in Volta Region.
In a press release which is signed by the King and sighted by GhanaVanguard.com, the king of the Anlos made it clear that people of Anlo and its chiefs are not associated with the “rebels” nor approve of their treasonous actions.
“I wish to state categorically that the Anlo State, its chiefs and people does not associate nor approve of the actions of such people and firmly disassociated itself from their subversive actions,” a portal of the letter reads.
The King, however, stated in the release that the Anlo State will continue to support the unity and sanctity of the unitary Ghana.
The traditional ruler further called on the government to deal severely with those involved in the disturbances which led to the death of a young man.
“We hope the authorities will deal with those involved in such heinous crime according to the laws of Ghana without fear or favour.”
“Long Live the Unitary State of Ghana,” he concluded.
