Man, 51 brutally assaulted by soldiers at Aflao, taken to hotel for treatment.

A 51 years old resident of Aflao, Francis Amuzu has sustained various degrees of injury after he was brutally assaulted by soldiers who are on deployment in Ketu South for reasons unknown to many.

Mr. Amuzu met this unprovoked attack in the morning of Sunday, October 25, 2020 in the community where he lives.

According to eyewitnesses, Mr. Amuzu lost one of his teeth during the barbaric attack and was put at the basket of one of the pickup vehicles the soldiers were using and taken to Makavo Hotel where the soldiers are being accommodated.

The victim, narrating his ordeal to some community folks on Monday, October 26, 2020 revealed that at the hotel where he was taken to, the soldiers brought in a health professional who administered injections to him. Prior to the injections, he was given tablets to consume. The deep cut Mr. Amuzu also sustained was stitched at the hotel. This, according to learned ones in the community is a clear violation of what they called “Patient’s Charter.”

The poor victim, after going through all the ordeals at the hotel, was brought back and dumped at his house by the soldiers.

When the incident was reported to the Aflao police, the victim was issued a police medical form so that he can seek medical attention. The man however, said he does not have money to pay for the medical form issued him.
