A renowned businessman and former financier of then candidate Akufo Addo and his New Patriotic Party (NPP), HRH Oscar Yao Doe has blasted NPP lawmakers, accusing them of turning parliament into a guesthouse.
Mr. Oscar, who is now a strong stalwart of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) made his comment earlier today on Facebook after news of members of the NPP Caucus of Parliament arriving at the house as early as 3am went viral.
The business mogul also observed that the NPP lawmakers stormed parliament at a time their colleagues on the other side were at home with some of them enjoying what he describes as “early morning Fufu”.
“NPP turned parliament into a guest house. As the NPP corruption haven arrogant braggarts criminal gangsters rushed to Parliament at 4am to occupy the majority corner of the house, while their NDC counterparts are enjoying early morning Fufu waiting…,” Mr. Oscar stated in a lost on his Facebook wall.
The businessman continued by accusing some media houses in the country for being the forces behind the current standoff between NPP and NDC lawmakers in the 8th parliament which has NDC’s Alban Bagbin as its speaker.
According to Mr. Oscar, the projection of NPP as having majority in parliament by some media houses is what is causing the problem.
