Some human parts of dead bodies deposited at the St. Anthony Hospital Mortuary in Dzodze, Ketu North have been reported missing.
This has been confirmed by the hospital’s authorities in a duly signed press release intercepted by your authoritative and exclusive news website, GhanaVanguard.com.
In the first incident which was discovered on February 23, 2021, the forehead skin and the two eye balls of Ms. Eyi Yakanu vanished. This came exactly seven days after the body was deposited at the morgue for preservation.
The second incident, according to the hospital authorities, was also discovered on March 8, 2021 and this time, it was the left eye of one Ms. Ahiamata Abla that disappeared.
“On the 23rd February, 2021, St Anthony Hospital Management Team reported the disappearance of the forehead skin and two (2) eye balls from the cadaver of the late Ms. Eyi Yakanu which was deposited in the mortuary on 16th February, 2021.”
“As if the first incident was not enough, a similar discovery was made on the 8th March, 2021 by the Mortuary Unit Personnel. This time involving the cadaver of Ms. Ahiamata Abla whose left eye disappeared as well…,” part of the press release which was signed by the Director of the Keta-Akatsi Catholic Diocesan Health Diectorate, Lt. Col (rtd) Rev. Fr. WDK Sraha reads.
All these mysterious discoveries were immediately brought to the notice of the respective families of the persons whose remains were affected.
The Keta-Akatsi Catholic Diocesan Health Directorate, the supervising authority of the hospital, however says, they are collaborating with the Ketu North Municipal Police Command to investigate and unravel the cause and those behind this criminal act.
