As part of his working tour of the Ashanti Region, H.E. President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has inaugurated the Ahafo Ano North Municipal Hospital at Tepa.
The 60-bed capacity hospital has the state-of-the art equipment and will replace the old district hospital, which has been over stretched due to population increase in the Ahafo Ano North Municipality and fringe communities.
Addressing the chiefs and people of the area, President Akufo-Addo underlined importance of regular maintenance of the hospital building and equipment to ensure that it continue to serve the people over a long time.
He urged the mangers of the hospital and the Municipal Authority to help maintain the facility since it was constructed through a facility secured by the government for the well-being of the people.
The President thanked the Paramount Chief of Tepa Traditional Area, Nana Adusei Atwenewa Ampem I for the durbar held in his honour, and the people for the support his government has received since assumption of power in 2017.
President Akufo-Addo commended Euroget De-Invest S.A, the contractor of the project for a good work done, and urged the electorates to retain his government in power during the upcoming general election for continued development of the nation.
The Minister for Health, Hon. Kwaku Agyeman-Manu, in his address reiterated the government’s desire to ensure all citizens in the country have access to health care services under the Universal Health Coverage irrespective of their location.
