President of the republic, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo will on Tuesday, October 20, 2020, begin a new tour of the oppostion NDC’s stronghold, Volta Region.
As the December 7 general elections is drawing closer, President Akufo Addo who is seeking reelection; has been touring the nation, cutting sods for commencement of projects as well as commissioning completed projects.
It is however, the turn for the Volta Region, a region currently under secessionists threats.
Information available to GhanaVanguard.com has it that President Akufo Addo will make his first stop at South Tongu District where he would commission a Naval Training Command which is sited at Agorta-Nutekpor.
As an installed traditional chief in the Afife Traditional Area, President Akufo Addo will visit the traditional area where he is expected to meet chiefs.
Commissioning of the Weta District Hospital in the Ketu North Municipality will also take place. Work on the hospital started under the erstwhile John Mahama administration in 2016.
President Akufo Addo will finalize his tour of the Ketu North Municipality with a rally where he is expected to outdoor the NPP Parliamentary candidate for the area and Minister for Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Mr. Samuel Kofi Dzamesi to the constituents.
