Founder and President of IMANI Africa, Mr. Franklin Cudjoe has added his well-heard voice to numerous calls that are demanding the re-closure of schools in the country as covid-19 cases spikes.
Ghana has now been recording an average of 600 covid-19 cases daily and this has been revealed by the Director General of Ghana Health Service, Dr. Patrick K. Aboagye at a press briefing in Accra yesterday, January 25.
The increasing cases of the deadly pandemic being recorded in the country has been a headache to many Ghanaians who know the grave threat the pandemic poses to Ghana and the world at large.
Franklin Cudjoe who comments on social issues such as this was made to believe by recent spike in covid infections that the the reopening of schools in the country was not a good idea and hence called for re-closure of the schools.
According him, the virus is something no one should joke with and that schools, churches as well as large gatherings must all be clamped down on for quick curtailment in the spread of the virus which has since claimed the lives of more than 360 Ghanaians.
“Charley brothers and sisters, the covid thing no be joke. Schools, Churches, mega meetings; all of them must be closed. TV and Online please until until..no??” Mr. Cudjoe stated on his facebook wall.
