Former Deputy Information Minister under the professor Mills’ administration, James Agyenim-Boateng is advising the Ghanaian public to speak against what he describes as persecution of Mr. Daniel Yaw Domelevo.
Agyenim Boateng who was the NDC 2020 campaign spokesperson believes the Auditor General should be celebrated for his anti corruption work rather than the persecution he’s been subjected to.
In a facebook post, Agyenim says: “Silence helps the oppressor or persecutor. Speak up! Let your voice be heard! Mr Domelevo must be celebrated, not persecuted!”
He continued by urging Ghanaians and people with heard voices to “do not look on unconcerned while the Akufo-Addo government hounds and persecutes Auditor General Daniel Yaw Domelevo for his fight against corrupt top government officials.”
Mr. Domelevo’s months of work leave which he was forced to take came to an end Tuesday, March 2. He however, resumed work today, March 3.
But before his resumption of work today, the Audit Service Board led by its chairman, Prof Duah raised issues of retirement age and nationality against the Auditor General, a move that has since thrown Ghanaians into state of conviction that there is a move to removed Domelevo from post.
