Musician and social commentator, Kwame Asare Obeng who is also known popularly as A Plus has charged President Akufo Addo to start the process to legalize Okada in the country.
According to A Plus, the failure of the Akufo Addo’s government to start the Okada legalization process will have a heavy toll on his chances in the upcoming December 7, 2020 general elections.
A Plus stated in a Facebook post which GhanaVanguard.com sighted that Okada will be legalized in the country if John Mahama wins the upcoming elections. He added that as Akufo Addo is the president now, he should start the legalization process.
“John Mahama will legalize Okada if he becomes president. Akufo Addo you are the president. Start the process now,” he stated.
Many critiques of the former president Mahama reacted to his Okada legalization promise which he made whiles on a campaign tour I’m the Volta Region.
Some critiques are of the view that Okada accidents are rampant in the country and also such accidents account for needless loss of previous lives.
However, in view of this, A Plus stated that airplane, cars and trains all get involved in accidents which result into loss of lives with Okada accidents being no exception.
“Okada kills, airplane kills, car kills, busses kills, mosquito kills. Go to the road commission and ask them how many people have died in road accidents this year alone…” part of A Plus post reads.
