The Executive Director of Media Foundation for West Africa, Sulemana Braimah has urged management of Omni Media (owners of Citi TV and Citi FM) and Caleb Kudah to file lawsuits against the National Security Ministry.
According to Mr. Braimah, as long as the NSM admitted that its officers acted inappropriately, that should be enough grounds for them to be sued for the assault Caleb Kudah suffered.
In a social media post, Mr. Braimah wrote: “National Security says their officers acted inappropriately, confirming the journalist’s story of abuse. Let’s sue them!”
The National Security Ministry on Friday, May 21 dismissed four of its operatives who were involved in the maltreatment of Caleb Kudah when he was arrested and detained for filming at the precinct of the National Security Secretariat more than a week ago.
Director of Operations at the ministry, Lt. Col. Agyemang is among those that were interdicted. He was the one Caleb said had hit him in the groin.
