Veteran Journalist and Managing Editor of the Accra-based Insight Newspaper, Mr. Kwesi Pratt Jnr urges Ghanaians to take the risk to be vaccinated with the Indian-made AstraZeneca vaccine that the country took delivery of yesterday, February 24.
According to the well respected journalist, the only way to get ahead of the covid pandemic which has since claimed the lives of more than 580 Ghanaians is to take risk to trying vaccines that are manufactured to fight the pandemic.
“If I get the opportunity, I will take the vaccine not because I think it is risk-free but essentially because i believe that in fighting tis pandemic, we all have to take risk. If you don’t take risk, you can’t get ahead of the pandemic,” he indicated on ‘Good Mourning Ghana’ on Metro TV yesterday.
Mr. Pratt further indicated on the program that the presence of the vaccine in the country is an opportunity for people to utilize by taking the risk to be vaccinated as it is only after vaccination that there can be a prove as to whether the vaccine is effective or not.
“…the vaccine presents an opportunity to take the risk which may in the end prove to be efficacious. So, that’s why I personally, if I get the opportunity will take the vaccine,” he said.
