Max Mosley (deceased) is in the news following a revelation by the Westminster coroner’s court that he committed suicide.
The former motorsport racer and president of the sport’s association, FIA, shot and killed himself in May 2021, after he was diagnosed of terminal cancer.

Who was Max Mosley?
Max Mosley was born in London to Oswald Mosley, a former Labor minister and Member of Parliament in the 1920s. His mother was Diana Mitford.
He began his career in motor racing as an amateur driver, and between 1993 and 2009, he served as President of Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), the governing body for Formula One.
The ex racer developed interest for the sports when he, together with his wife visited the Silverstone circuit to watch a racing event. He immediately began to teach law courses in order to raise enough money to pursue his new-found dream.
Mosley had a key interest in politics while growing up. He however, could not succeed in the political world unlike his father.
Aside motorsport and politics, Mosley was also a Gray’s Inn-trained lawyer who was called to the English bar in 1964. He specialized in patent and trademark laws.
