The Vice Presidential candidate of the NDC, Prof. Jane Nana Opoku-Agyemang has showered praises on Former President Mahama for his respect for women and children.
During her formal outdoring event held at the University of Professional Studies, Accra, Prof. Jane said John Mahama’s single decision to choose her, a female as his running mate will be commissioned to memory of all young people as it is so historic.
As she holds the record of being the first female Vice Chancellor of a public university in the history of Ghana, Prof. Jane congratulated the recently elected Vice Chancellor of KNUST who is also a female. She extended same to the first female Registrar of UPSA.
Prof. Jane further thanked Mahama for the trust he has in her by giving her the chance to serve the country ones again in the capacity of Vice President when the party emerges victorious in the upcoming 2020 general elections.
Prof. Jane’s appointment as running mate however did not go down well with some party faithfuls as they say she is not connected to the grassroots of the party.
She served in the Mahama administration as the Minister of Education. She is an astute academician who became the first female VC of the University of Cape Coast located in her native Central Region.
