Information reaching GhanaVanguard.com has it that a total of four young men have been shot and injured during a violent protest in Ejura, Ashanti Region over the death of #FixTheCountry activist Kaaka Mohammed who died of injuries sustained when he was attacked by mobs.
After the sudden death of Kaaka was reported yesterday, June 28, protests erupt throughout the Ejura township. During the protest, youths of the town who are brandishing cutlasses, clubs and knifes clashed with military personnel deployed to the area to maintain peace and order. The military personnel fired several shots with the aim of scaring the protesters away. As a result of the sporadic firing, four persons were shot.
GhanaVanguard.com has also confirmed the death of two of the injured persons. The death leave a huge crowd – mostly women, wailing at the premises of the Ejura Government Hospital where the victims have been taken to.
