Ghana Union Movement, a political party which is led by its founder, Mr. Christian Kwabena Andrews also known as ‘Osofo Kyeri Abosom’ is poised to emerge third in the December 7 general elections which is just a week away.
This has been revealed by President of the renowned policy think tank, IMANI Africa, Mr. Franklin Cudjoe in a post he made on his Facebook wall.
According to IMANI Africa, the projection of GUM as the party to emerge third in this year’s presidential election was as a result of “examination” of some 35,000 respondents.
“By the way, ‘GUM’ is poised to coming 3rd in this election after my examination of 35,000 respondents preferences,” Mr. Cudjoe wrote on his Facebook wall.
In the 2016 presidential election which saw Akufo Addo emerged winner, then Papa Kwesi Nduom-led Progressive People’s Party (PPP) emerged third.
Meanwhile the leader of the party, Christian Kwabena Andrews is placed third on the ballot paper with president Akufo-Addo of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and former president Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC); placing first and second on the ballot paper respectively.
