Some two uniformed officers of the Ghana Police Service have been busted by residents of undisclosed community drawing fuel from a truck which has been involved in an accident.
In a video available to GhanaVanguard.com, the officers were surrounded by angry residents as one of the officers was in the act of draining the fuel from the truck’s fuel tanker into two yellow jerrycan containers.
The residents appeared to be wowed as they wonder why officers in uniform would be doing such a thing which can best be described as theft.
The individuals who appeared to be going to or coming back from a funeral hurled all sort of abusive words at the officers.
At a point in time, the officer who was watching the other to drain the fuel was asked to arrest his colleague. This, he refused to do.
It is however not yet known what the actual motives of the officers were when they drained the fuel from the truck’s tanker.
Cross section of social media users believe the officers were draining the fuel so as to prevent the accident vehicle from catching fire.
