The Daboya/Mankarigu Constituency Executive Committee of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has suspended the constituency party chairman, Mr. Alhaji Yahaya Mohammed Mutalla and ten other executives of the party in the constituency.
The chairman and his colleague suspended executives suffered the fate after they were accused of engaging in anti-party activities that led to the defeat of the party’s parliamentary candidate in the just ended 2020 general elections.
“The Constituency Executive Committee of the NDC in Daboya/Mankarigu has suspended with immediate effect some executives of the party following their anti-party and conduct during the just ended Presidential and Parliamentary elections which is against article 39 of the NDC constitution,” part of the suspension letter which is signed by the Daboya constituency secretary, Gazari Muniru reads.
It has been reported that the chairman turned down invitations by the disciplinary committee on two occasions after a party member launched a complaint against him.
This, many believed has informed the decision to suspend the chairman and the other ten executives who have also been accused of engaging in same anti-party activities as chairman Yahaya Mohammed.
The suspended executives are however, referred to the Disciplinary Committee of the party for further disciplinary actions to be expedited on them.
